Legacy was developed by the University of Nebraska and changed the way the world looked at buffalograss when it came onto the market in 2000.

It produces a narrow, soft leaf blade with a dark blue/green color and grows to a maximum height of 3 to 5 inches. Cold hardy to zone 2, Legacy is the most widely adapted of all our buffalograss cultivars.

Why Legacy?

    ■ Soft, fine leaf blades form a dense turf

    ■ Only uses 1/4" of water per week

    ■ Root system extends 6 to 8 feet deep

    ■ Only grows 3 to 5 inches tall

    ■ Medium dark blue/green color

    ■ Cold hardy to Zone 2

    ■ All-female plant with very low pollen

    ■ Spreads quickly and repairs bare spots

    ■ Aggressive, but not invasive

    ■ Excellent disease resistance

    ■ Resistant to most insects
